Buddy Verdict
GTA 6 codes from any country work on any console.
Verdict
Status: False
False for PlayStation: a code only works with an account in its region, so a UK code needs a UK account. Rockstar says Xbox codes are not region-locked.
Why “False”
Rockstar’s support article lists the PlayStation code regions. The United Kingdom is a region of its own, while Ireland, Germany, France and most of Europe share another. The claim is still false overall, because it fails on PlayStation, even though it holds for Xbox.
Evidence
- Rockstar Games · Contradicts the claim“Region restrictions for code redemptions of Grand Theft Auto VI are based on the region associated with your platform account.”
- Rockstar Games · Contradicts the claimPlayStation code regions: “United Kingdom: United Kingdom”
- Rockstar Games · Context“Xbox: Codes purchased are not region-locked.”
What would change this verdict
Rockstar or PlayStation removing the regional restrictions on PlayStation codes.
