GTA IV on PlayStation

GTA IV came out on . Its only PlayStation version is for PS3; Rockstar never released it on a later PlayStation. A PS5 plays most PS4 games, but GTA IV was never a PS4 game, and PlayStation says the PS5 doesn’t support PS3 discs. When Rockstar listed its games for PS5 in November 2020, the only PlayStation titles were PS2 classics already on PS4. GTA IV was not one of them.

A page offering a “GTA 4 PS5” download or a PS5 version isn’t from Rockstar. To play GTA IV on PlayStation, you still need a PS3.
